The Label
Not only a management and booking company, my company Tumbleweed Entertainment has played a role in releasing albums from Canadian artists in folk, punk, rock, and even spoken word. Here is what has been released over the past few years:

Ryan Patey – Behind the Scenes After years of being the person backstage, behind the soundboard, or driving the van, I finally decided to take the next step and put my mouth where my heart had been for so long. Behind the Scenes is a collection of poetry written over several years during and after shows and heartbreaks, and inspired by the musicians around me. Free Download TW009 May / 2009 |

My Dog Ego – Fix. Set to mark the end of an era by being released on the final night of one of Atlantic Canada’s best rock venues, The Attic, My Dog Ego’s Fix. proved to be a swan song for the band as well. Recorded live off the floor in an old apple warehouse in Grand Pre, NS over several cold, wintery days, the album documents the troubles of the mind (and perhaps the band) as we all try to walk away from the things we think we can’t do without. Bernadine – Tent Fire! The Valley in Nova Scotia has always been known for its punk scene, and Bernadine rightfully called this place home. An entertaining train wreck live, but with enough witty lyrics and catchy licks to make you take them seriously for a moment, Tent Fire! is as fun as the title suggests. Maybe even as dangerous. VeganDreamCake and the Cutie Pies – self-titled Released in conjunction with a vegan magazine called T.O.F.U., the self-titled VDC album was a Tumbleweed family affair. Members of nate and marcel, My Dog Ego, and Glitter Cinnamon and the Candy Wrappers came together in a living room to sing songs about food and their love for the stuff that keeps us all going. My Dog Ego – self-titled The first ep from this rock act would prove to be a turning point for the band as they made the strange move from big city Toronto to coastal Halifax. Although some of the songs would continue to show up in their live show, the ep was just a mere tease for what was to become of the band. Free Download TW005 March / 2007 |

Save September – The Bathroom EP Recorded in her family bathroom and aptly named, Save September’s first official release has been hand-made over and over again to be sold around the world to her growing fanbase. Now performing under her real name, Crissi Cochrane, this singer/songwriter is ready to release a full-length that will no doubt melt the hearts of her listeners even more than this little album did. Hourglass Class – self-titled Recorded in a school house in a small town in Nova Scotia, this self-titled release helped to capture the risky mixture of classically trained strings with rock-trained guitars and percussion, as well as multiple songwriters and singers. A dangerous mix that created wonderful results both onstage and in the schoolhouse. Unavailable TW003b Sep / 2006 |

Hourglass Class – Crib Notes Released as a teaser for their upcoming full-length, Crib Notes was a hint of what was to come from the band that was never really meant to be. Originally booked for a solo performance, Michael Long, now known as le skiv, wanted to do more. Gathering as many friends as he could with the time he had, the Hourglass Class was born and Halifax was introduced to “sonic folk.” Unavailable TW003a July / 2006 |

nate and marcel – the kitchen ep The first Tumbleweed pairing of a classically trained string player and a more rock minded musician, although not the last, was also the first real release from the label. Songs of heartbreak and longing are given a wonderful weight and depth by not only the cello of Claire Gallant, but also the incredibly personal and crafted words of Amelia Chester.
