Third time is the charm?
I have finally started working on the third issue of T.O.F.U. I apologize for the lengthy delay... alright, let's be honest here. I apologize for the complete and utter shutdown and disappearance of the magazine, but I promise it will be back with a vengeance! I'm rounding up advertisers, content, and supporters as I type this and planning for a release in May. Yes, that is a few months away, but I have a lot to do before now and then. There will be a tour. An (almost) cross-Canada tour with myself, the little magazine that should, and this fine lady:
Amanda Rogers
So, expect things to be different this spring/summer, and by different I mean there will be an issue of T.O.F.U. on a store shelf near you. Please tell me you had not forgotten about him. He is in the terrible twos right now, and those times are rather testy... it's best not to upset him.

One more reason...
to get back to writing another issue of T.O.F.U. is a great little blurb from our new friends in Oz who took the time to request our magazine for a review. So, wander on over to Aduki Independent Press to see what they thought of the little one, and also to see what they have to offer. They were kind enough to pass along two recipe books to me for tempeh and one for soups, which I hope to make good use of in the coming months.

Back home...
T.O.F.U. is back in Halifax...again. I'm busy trying to plan tours, album recordings and releases, and more tours for the spring and summer while also looking for some sort of job that I can stand going to everyday. Claire is keeping busy with another love of hers, which she discovered recently. If you were lucky enough in the past few months since issue #2 came out you may have noticed her on a theatrical stage somewhere in a production called Penny Dreadful.
So, once again, forgive us for being delayed on this here magazine of ours. We don't mean to neglect the little one, but we're sort of busy keeping ourselves up and running until this cursed winter ends.
Spring promises new life and warmth, and T.O.F.U. shall be a part of that...honestly.

No more single child!
It was a long time coming, but Issue #2 finally hit shelves across North America and within our online store. Sorry we did not post this sooner for xmas orders, but we've been rather busy moving both the magazine and ourselves around...we're not very good at this quarterly magazine schedule thing quite yet.
Thanks for supporting us in all our craziness either way!

T.O.F.U. on Vegan Freak Radio
Check out episode #71 of the Vegan Freaks' podcast, where they talk a little about T.O.F.U.'s debut issue. It appears they like us. (We are a full-fledged magazine, though, not a zine, even with the cute baby format.) Bob and Jenna (the vegan freaks) are out of New York state and lots and lots of people listen to their podcast, so this is really exciting for us. Go be our freaky friend and take a listen.

Something New
So, this is the start of another new vegan project by those lovely folks that brought you all those little cookbooks and that road map to Halifax for vegans. This time we're going to committ ourselves to something a little more solid, something a little more tangible, something a little more...crazy?
We shall see...
